Notes: This was the first cover piece I had ever done and under a deadline of one day – filling in for an artist that had bailed on the project. Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing, had just started really using photoshop somewhat effectively to illustrate with, and took direction from the publisher on what he wanted on the cover instead of researching and producing sketches beforehand. This was an example of what NOT to do when doing cover work – and why I am putting it here now – more as a reminder to learn from my mistakes lest I make them again.
