The Road Goes Ever On is the latest comic experiment by Ron Perazza and myself, based on the Walking Songs by J.R.R. Tolkien and makes use of the Yanapax player to deliver comics on all devices and using a variety of story-telling techniques. This latest experiment features an Infinite “Shire” canvas spanning a day and all seasons. Read it for free by clicking the image and heading over to the ComiC Book Think Tank!
For those wondering about more regular site updates – they are coming – I have been swamped with commissions and will be uploading a great many of them in the next day or so, as well as another wave just after the holidays for commissions that have been given as gifts.

Project Rooftop, the site that redesigns superheroes held a challenge to redesign Aquaman – one of my favorite superheroes. I had to enter not one, but three designs for the Atlantean lord, with my initial one, taking first prize. Go check it out and drop a comment or two for your favorites, there are some awesome redesigns posted. Make sure to check out some of the other fantastic redesigns they’ve done over the last five years as well.
I have a huge wave of new art coming in the next week and will link everything up once I get things scanned and cleaned up. Many projects and commissions have kept me from posting as much over the last few months, but I should have a massive update for the site by then.
I’ve been furiously putting together a Tolkien sketchbook – one of three planned for this year, and plan to have that one ready for C2E2. I’ll be doing sketches and commissions there March 18th-20th. Here is one of the newer pieces that will be in said sketchbook:

We are almost 2 months into the new year and I’m finally getting around to posting an update!? I know, I suck . But in my defense, I’ve been busy, busy, busy. First – AZURE Issue 4 is now available via ComiXology, and DC Apps, as well as online via ComiXology and DC, AND is also available on the PSP. Each issue is still just 99¢ and I suspect you’ll see issues 5 and 6 drop in the following weeks. Here’s a one page preview:
The Harvey Awards ballots have just gone live here. If you are a comic industry professional – please consider AZURE for Best Online Comics Work, and/or myself for Most Promising New Talent (AZURE).
So what have I been up to lately? I’ve been working on three comic pitches, two of which are with fantastic writers while I am covering the art chores, and the last is one of my gestating egg-type projects I hope to birth once the other two are pitched. Aside from those, I’m working on a fantastic map project with amazing printmaker Mark Ostley. More on that later. I’ve also had a few waves commissions I’ll be uploading to the site soon.
Lastly – I’m going to have 3 sketchbooks for sale at various conventions this coming year. Last year’s was so well recieved, and I’ve done so much work and commissions since that small run, that this year I am making a J.R.R.-oriented sketchbook from both old and new ThereAndBackAgain work, an October 2010-March 2011 Sketchbook, and then an April 2011-November 2011 Sketchbook. All will be in small runs again, and folks will be able to pre-order them via paypal soon.
I’ll post another update tomorrow with something special and many new art links. There’s simply too much to cram into one post.
