Tolkien

This is a smattering of the hundreds of illustrations Daniel did over the last 12 years of Tolkien-based artwork. To view many of them, please visit his Flash-based website ThereAndBackAgain.net. Some of the illustrations were for various books he illustrated, both interiors and cover pieces, while others were for interstitials.

    Hey, Daniel.
I am thrilled to see your illustrations getting coloured. I think they look brilliant as they originally did in TABA (sepia vintag-y), but the colours make them pop.
Your Fëanor illustration has always been one of my favourites, from the very beginning of discovering TABA, which is now quite a few years ago. Should be interesting to see if he will some time be adorned with colours as well. Fëanor is, in any case, spot on in my eyes.
    Cheers!

Thanks Irene! Yeah, I need to do some more modern Tolkien works, but it’s tough finding the time. If there was one Tolkien piece you’d like to see in my newer style, what would it be? I’ll make it a mission to do that one when I have the time…

I would like to suggest a drawing of tar-aldarion (king). He´s one of the characters with more depth in the lord of the rings universe.
